They continued to remind me that I could always make a payment over the phone, to which I responded "No thanks, I do not want to give out my bank account or credit card info over the phone. I didn't want to risk waiting until 4/12 and discovering that the website was down. Bill changes happen for several reasons, including plan updates, new devices, promo expirations, credits, and more. In an email from Direct Tv (see below) they suggested resetting my receiver of course that didn’t make any difference. This began a prolonged series of calls to ATT and Directv to find out what was going on. Instead, I went to a page similar to the old one on ATT that showed my payment amount, but after selecting to pay using my bank account, I attempted to change the payment date from the current date () to the payment due date () the payment button was grayed out, meaning I could not schedule a payment for the desired date. This time I did not get the "Something went wrong" error. I was told to open a private window in my browser (Firefox) and try to login. I called the Directv phone number and reported this. There was a button marked "Manage your account" but when I clicked on it I got "Something went wrong". Suddenly, I was taken to a new web site on with a banner saying something to the effect "Your Directv account is now being handled on a different site. As I have since the Directv/ATT "merger", I went to ATT.com and entered my Directv login info.
